“I understand but can’t speak”: how to start talking
Recognising a phrase and saying it independently are different skills. Let’s practise the second.

Choose a short question: What do you usually do after work? Write a two-sentence answer. Use familiar words, even if the answer seems simple.
Say your answer aloud without reading. Do not stop at every mistake: first express the whole idea. Then fix one or two difficulties and repeat.
Now change the question: What did you do yesterday? or What are you going to do tomorrow? Similar vocabulary, but you learn to build a new answer.
Your teacher helps choose the next level of difficulty and spots recurring mistakes. The goal is to express your thoughts, not recite a memorised text.
